Our Community
YOU ARE HERE
Blockley is a village located in the North Cotswolds, halfway between Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden. Now a community of about 2,000 inhabitants, Blockley once was a main centre of the silk industry, in the 18th and 19th centuries. The silk mills used the waters of the brook which runs through the centre of the village.
ALL ARE WELCOME
As a congregation, we do our very best to make everyone feel welcome. We do not expect anybody to know the words of a service off by heart - we have written orders of service to help! Nor do we expect you to know when to sit, stand or kneel. As the result of our coming together from diverse Christian traditions, we would describe our faith as middle of the road Anglican. There is music at most services and we still have a choir to lead the singing (New members always welcome!)
Regular services are held in church and in the Jubilee Hall in winter, and we have various home groups and courses that take place around particular times and seasons. You may want to check our calendar of events.
Everything we do is aimed at sharing God’s love and creating cohesion within our community. We believe that every one of us is called by God to carry out a special ministry.
